Spring Cleaning – Organize your way to better design

I can’t believe I still do it – those Minnesota roots go down deep. Come April or so, I begin to get the itch; the urge to go deeper in cleaning until I know I’ve gotten myself into something I can’t stop. Soon everything is out of the room; floors, windows and furniture are clean and sparkling. When repositioning the room, some things get left in the hall and don’t make the final cut, only to be destined for this year’s garage sale.

The editing of a room is often the most difficult…we love our things. It’s difficult to part with Aunt Ruth’s vase, or Timmy’s first homerun ball, but a room can quickly become cluttered or confusing. A room that’s well edited feels tranquil and balanced.
