Stripes, stripes and more stripes! I love stripes! There are only a few things in this world that really get me going like the clean crisp rhythm of a great stripe. I’m not picky; I like fat stripes, skinny stripes, simple stripes, pretty stripes, soft stripes and even unexpected bold stripes. It’s all good to me.
Let’s stop for a moment and think about it; a stripe is uncomplicated, simple and yet it can wield a lofty power. With a flick of the wrist a stripe can be bold, brash and daring. Stripes can be a class clown taking center stage all the while being comfortable in the glow of the spotlight.
With confidence it says “Look at me, I’m a stripe”. Use the sassy side of the stripe to create a focal point, add a bit of the unexpected, or even take the edge off a formal, conventional or fussy room. A bold stripe will build color bridges in your space and connect the dots between patterns and textures. It can pull your eye in a moment to a particular point or whimsically zig and zag around your room.

A really great stripe isn’t afraid to stand up to a big floral and say ‘Hey, let’s get together. We’re here to party on this sofa!’
