Q: I love contemporary design, but my home doesn’t feel cozy. How can I “soften” or get that warm feeling in my home?

A: Contemporary styling can come with a harsh, cold feeling. In order to get that warm, fuzzy feeling you might use these reliable accents; throws, greenery, and candles. Throws add a splash of color, soften the room because of the fabric, and create curves when draped over a piece of furniture. Greenery can always bring the space “down to earth” and will immediately warm up the room. Candles give off an ambient, soft light when lit and the essence of what will be, even when unlit.
